摩诃波阇波提

Mahāprajāpatī, title of aunt and nurse of Śākyamuni; reputed as the first abbess; according to the <Lotus> she is to become a Buddha, under the title of Sarvasattva-priya-darśana. Also摩訶鉢剌闍鉢底; cf. 憍 Gautamī.
